Description: Join Our Journey: Intern with Italian Itinerary! Are you passionate about travel, Italian culture, and the transformative power of immersive experiences? Italian Itinerary, a boutique travel design consultancy, invites purposeful, curious interns to join our team and help shape the future of travel. Who We Are Italian Itinerary crafts bespoke, deeply authentic Italian journeys. Under Linda Somma’s leadership, our team weaves together expertise in logistics, event production, travel design, and slow food philosophy — delivering itineraries that don’t just check boxes but tell stories. Our Mission We’re more than a travel consultancy; we’re a slow‑travel movement. With a commitment to #slowtravel and #slowfood, we design immersive, meaningful experiences that encourage connection, authenticity, and richness. We believe travel should leave a footprint on the soul — not just an Instagram feed. Internship Opportunity This is a hands-on, AI‑driven digital marketing and strategy internship. You’ll help us research industry trends, map competitor landscapes, analyze emerging markets, and leverage AI tools to fuel Italian Itinerary’s growth. You’ll contribute to strategy, digital campaigns, and meaningful projects that matter — not just social media posts. Role Overview AI-Driven Digital Marketing & Strategy Intern — strategic, analytical, curious, and driven. You’ll support digital marketing efforts, research new markets, and help us build a data-informed path forward. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Strategic Market Research: Analyze competitive landscapes: identify major and niche players in travel design, slow travel, and wellness tourism. Explore emerging and underdeveloped markets, particularly in the U.S. and other strategic regions. Track macro and micro trends in travel, wellness, and tourism: consumer behavior, sustainability, wellness travel demand, etc. Research potential partnerships with businesses, operators, or thought leaders in niche travel and wellness markets. AI-Enhanced Strategy & Campaign Support: Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, etc.) to support ideation for digital campaigns, newsletters, webinars, and client outreach. Prepare content outlines, researcher briefs, and strategic documents with AI-assisted brainstorming. Analyze performance data and market research using AI to produce insights and recommendations. Project Management & Organization: Maintain and update research databases (Excel / Google Sheets) with competitor profiles, market intelligence, and partnership leads. Organize project workflows, track tasks, and support strategic planning in collaboration with Linda Somma. Assist in drafting strategic materials, business development decks, and marketing collateral. What We Are Looking For Deep curiosity about travel, Italy, wellness, and emerging tourism markets. Strategic mindset with demonstrated research experience. Strong analytical and organizational skills — Excel / Google Sheets mastery required. Experience working virtually — able to work independently, manage time, and communicate clearly. Flexibility: you can adapt as priorities shift, projects evolve, and new opportunities emerge. Some prior experience in digital marketing, strategy, or travel research — required. Proficiency in AI tools (or a willingness to learn and use them confidently). Excellent written and spoken English; Italian is a plus but not necessary.
