We are looking for an ambitious Business Strategy Intern to enhance our team and to help us bring the next generation of data management software to life.
 

What we do

At SiaSearch, we create the category-leading search engine for time series and sensor data which acts as the backbone for data-driven development in various industries from robotics to finance. We are building unique technology, that automatically indexes, structures, and evaluates petabytes of raw sensor data based on intuitive semantic attributes and keywords. Based on that processing, our query engine enables users to access the data at unprecedented speed, quality and depth. This does not only critically accelerate the development and deployment of data-driven applications such as machine learning, but also makes data storage more efficient by focusing on the important portions of the data. We are currently working with multiple leading automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers as well as smaller companies to speed up and improve their software development.

Our team is made up of entrepreneurs, scientists, and engineers from premier universities around the world (ETH, Oxford, TUM). Many of us have PhDs and work experience at top tech companies. We’re based in Europe’s startup capital, Berlin, and are growing quickly!

 

Your Responsibilities

You will take full ownership of strategic projects that are aimed at positioning our products in the market and will help us execute the operational implementation in a hands-on manner. Your main responsibilities can include the following:

  • Perform market entry/fit and competitive analyses to validate our business approach
  • Convince potential clients and partners to grow our business
  • Help us deliver our product to first pilot customers
  • Manage strategic projects with clients including automotive OEMs, Tier 1s, AV startups, and more
  • Support fundraising activities (deck, outreach, roadshows, due diligence,...)
  • Research data engineering and machine learning applications as well as relevant market developments

Your Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree from a top-­tier university, we accept applications from a variety of academic disciplines; a Master degree is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience at a leading technology/automotive company, management consultancy, or in a similar fast-paced environment is a big plus
  • An analytical mindset and the ability to think critically
  • A deep understanding of the automotive industry or a strong network of decision-makers and executives in the autonomous driving space is is a plus
  • Long-­held interest in technology and automotive, both personally & professionally
  • Entrepreneurial drive, willingness to take responsibility, high ambition, and the ability to achieve goals collaboratively
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with customers and partners
  • Willingness to travel
